Painting: I have always enjoyed painting and could stare at a painting, picking out the brush strokes like they were alive. Watching the motion as if observing waves and trying to predict how they would go next.
Sketch Drawing: This is something I have done often since I was young. Someone had asked if I was born with a pencil in my hand after seeing my work. Frankly the idea went literal and it caused a bit of a wince on my part. I use to get caught drawing on the walls, and they stayed there until we moved out. My Mom gave up trying to punish me for it. I guess I was destined to draw? Though she often did give me things to draw on in a desperate attempt to save the walls.
Clay Scultpuring: This is far harder then I remembered. But I'm working on a project currently in attempt to better tune my talent for clay. I suppose you could consider the horns I make, part of the clay sculpturing. They are proving far easier then the dragon's head.
Costuming: I have recently gotten into this. It all started with a cheetah tail for a character I played in live action roleplaying (LARP). Then it went from that to cat ears, then those horns, and now a friend and I are designing Satyr costumes. Great fun! I am enjoying it quite a lot, and will post pictures once we've accomplished our ideas.
Photography: I think this particular talent runs in the family. My Mother is an excellent photographer as well. It pretty much was official when my 7th grade photography teacher begged me to stay in her class because she was that impressed by a project we were assigned to do. She was very pleased with the shilowettes I photographed onto slide film. Ever since - I've been hooked.
Poetry: I always denied any skill for this until a few years ago when I started getting noticed by a site called Poetry.com. I've been published through them quite a few times, and am still hoping to get the books I'm presented in, as well as the recording of my poem. People have been touched by my skill, and that is the greatest feeling in the world. To know your poetry effects people so deeply. It's confusing, often sad, but it carries a huge amount of emotion in it. It's one of my deepest passions.
Short Story Writer: This skill is unpredictable. Sometimes I can write incredible, one page stories and have it make total sense. Other times I can write pages and pages and it'll become clustered. And vice versa. This talent is often what I least expect to transform. My poetry is even more predictable then this during writing. I couldn't tell you how long I've been doing this, but it is truly a fascinating part of me.
Photographic Editing: I'm not even sure that's what it's technical term is. But it's basically when you take a picture, and edit it through programs like PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, etc. etc. I personally love Photoshop and PSP. They're by far one of my favorates. The gallery lists three pictures I've created through these methods (more photoshop). It's hard to do, but after years of editing, you begin to gain a knack for it. Finding the tiniest pixels to shift, colorations to add, and remove, and a variety of different things which change a picture in drastic ways. Sometimes these pictures can take hours to edit, or only a few minutes.. and in rare cases - days.
Web Design: I have been designing websites since 1998 and have learned quite a bit in those seven years. It's all self taught, and I know there's gaps in my knowledge, but it's come a long way. I have helped people design pages, and also designed pages for people as well as tutored people within limitation.
