Cartography

Alpha & Beta Quadrants (Only significant objects shown)

Gamma Quadrant (Only significant objects shown)

The SWTrek Star Chart contains the most complete listing of objects in the game, the map images have been edited for brevity.

References

The SWTrek universe is a semi-canon design of Paramount Picture's Startrek (external link) Alpha, Beta, and Gamma quadrants in the year 2370 (a year before the Dominion-Federation War).

The map is based on locations cited in of the all the Startrek episodes and movies, with additional references from the StarTrek: Dimensions map and the UCIP map.

Legend

All planets, satelites, stars, nebulas, starbases (including smaller spacelabs and other stationary objects), and wormholes will be displayed on the star chart. Objects that move, such as other vessels, are not shown on the star chart.

You can safely disconnect at any planet, satelite, star, or starbase that shows up on the Star Chart. Make sure you fly "over" the object (to make sure you are within the object's contact size) and then press F10 to disconnect.

To intercept a stationary object, right-click on an object on the star chart and go to Intercept. Or you can press I and enter the object's name.

Economy

The products that you can buy/sell or obtain/distribute, are:

Most stars have antimatter and you can obtain it for free.

Most planets and satelites (moons) offer raw materials that you can obtain for free. They require antimatter the most and are often willing to pay you the best prices for it.

Most starbases sell perishable weapons ( Torpedos, Mines, etc), however they require raw materials to fabricate them and are often willing to pay you the best prices for it. They also offer antimatter, at a price.

Special weapons such as the Neutron Mine or APC Warhead are available at some planets and starbases, these weapons are often very expensive.

Points of Interest

Badlands is a nebula just within the Cardassian Union in the left region of the Alpha Quadrant and is controlled by the Maqui (MAQ). It serves as a secluded haven for the Maqui. It contains a planet where Neutron Mines and Iridium Mines can be obtained.

Bajoran Wormhole is a wormhole located in the left region of the Alpha Quadrant, near the Cardassian Union, a region of space claimed by the Cardassians (CAR). It leads to the Idran System in the Gamma Quadrant. To enter a wormhole, fly over it and come to a complete stop (use retro thrusters to help).

Cardassian Union is located in the left region of the Alpha Quadrant, it is a large region of space claimed by the Cardassians (CAR) and heavily gaurded by Cardassian Keldon Classes. It contains Cardassia, the Cardassian homeworld, which launches APC Warheads towards Alpha 441 (an asteroid in the Badlands). A region deep within the Cardassian Union, the Orias System is extremely well gaurded, it contains a starbase where APC Warheads can be obtained.

Romulan Space is located in the left region of the Beta Quadrant, it is a large region of space claimed by the Romulan Star Empire (ROM) and heavily gaurded by Romulan Bird of Preys. It contains the planet Romulus, the Romulan homeworld, where Neutron Mines and Iridium Mines can be obtained.

Typhon Expanse is a region of subspace and temporal instability located in the upper left region of the Beta Quadrant. It functions as a nebula. It and its nearby planets have high Borg activity.

Vintaak System is a star located at the bottom left edge of the Beta Quadrant, deep within Tholian Space. It is used by the Tholians (THO) as a temporal testing range and is heavily gaurded by Tholian Spinners. The Vintaak System contains an asteroid (Vintaak Asteroid) where TriCobalt Warheads can be obtained.
